I am proud to announce that Sketec.com is now hosted by NFSN, Inc. or NearlyFreeSpeech.NET

Previously GoDaddy.com, Inc. hosted my site and I was very unimpressed with their service. In my experience, Godaddy.com hosting is slow and I always ran the risk of my site going down if I overused the shared server’s CPU (or so I heard). I also experienced some lengthy outages and I’ve had issues with mail server timeouts during the last couple weeks. I wasn’t about to try to address those problems with Godaddy.com, as I’ve heard their technical support is incompetent. Those are just a few things I noticed about Godaddy.com hosting that I don’t like. From my experience, I would never recommend them to anyone!

With NearlyFreeSpeech.NET, on the other hand, my site loads so much faster. The only problem I ran into has been related to moving everything over to their servers and making it work. These problems were cause by file permissions or oversight. I also forgot to disable wp-cache before moving the site over, which caused some issues. Clearing the cache folder fixed it instantly. For more details, I’ll now refer you to their website FAQ page. They do an excellent job of explaining everything there. So, take a look and make the switch. If you can’t yet afford the cost of dedicated hosting, they are one of the BEST shared hosts out there. Highly recommended!
